In addition to the Core Curriculum, the school requires that students take courses in the fine arts, letters, natural sciences, social sciences, race and ethnic studies, gender and women’s studies, foreign languages and mathematics. Scripps fields joint athletic teams with Claremont McKenna and Harvey Mudd, known as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas.
